Description

This advanced program equips drilling supervisors with the knowledge and skills to plan, manage, and oversee MPD operations safely and effectively. The course covers MPD principles, classifications, and comparisons with conventional drilling, followed by in-depth training on pressure management, choke control, and bottom hole pressure calculations. Participants learn MPD rig-up and equipment selection, influx and loss management, SBP MPD procedures, and complications such as wellbore instability and HPHT challenges. The curriculum also addresses specialized applications, including Pressurized Mud Cap Drilling (PMCD), managed pressure cementing, and dynamic formation testing. Emphasis is placed on operational planning, regulations, hazard management, and QHSE practices, reinforced through classroom exercises and scenario-based discussions.
