The RIW Land and Workover Rigs covers equipment installed on:
Drilling rigs
Workover rigs
Hydraulic workover rigs
Pulling units
Candidates will learn of the common equipment and system deficiencies and recurring problems, including correct standards (API etc.) and regulatory requirements of the industry.
This course is aimed at candidates who are involved with drilling rigs including:
Drilling Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors and Engineers
Rig Managers, OIMs, Project Engineers
HSE professionals
Rig maintenance crew and equipment service personnel
The course is a highly interactive mix of PowerPoint presentations, videos, animations, exercises, and case studies.

After completion of the RIW, attendees will be able to:

Know what to look for at component level.
Know what to check before functioning the equipment.
Maintenance practices and routines:
Overview of correct maintenance practices and routines.
Examples of poor maintenance practices and routines, what failures can occur and impact on equipment integrity, safety, or the environment.
Overview of good safety practices.
Overview of Ex equipment and hazardous areas.
Overview of regulatory requirements such as API, ATEX etc.
